ORIGINAL POST [2/26/16]:

We are excited to announce six sites that will host the 2016 Climate Leadership Summits! From big cities on the coast to rolling midwestern small towns, students and campus communities nationwide are providing leadership to address energy challenges and climate change. That’s why we partnered with Defend Our Future to elevate and inspire innovative approaches student bodies are taking to make their campuses greener and more sustainable.

We received a pool of tremendous applications and are excited to bring together more than 1,000 student leaders, administrators, businesspeople, and policy officials through the selected summits. Stay tuned as we provide updates and registration information for each summit in the weeks ahead.

The Climate Leadership Summit Schedule:

April 5 - Atlanta Regional, hosted by Georgia State University

April 9 - Wisconsin Statewide, hosted by University of Wisconsin - River Falls

April 16 - Arizona Statewide, hosted by Arizona State University

April 22-23 - California Statewide, co-hosted by Cal Poly Pomona & Claremont McKenna College

April 30 - Upstate New York, hosted by Rochester Institute of Technology

April 30 - Southern Florida, hosted by Florida International University

In the coming weeks, we will share more about each event and how you can get involved. For more information about NCLC’s work on environmental sustainability, visit our climate page and don’t forget to check out www.DefendOurFuture.org.
